Charles University Grant Agency has announced accepted and supported GAUK projects for the year 2024. We appreciate that the theme "Advanced and alternative approaches to vitamin K analysis in clinical practice using dry blood drops" compiled by Mgr. Nikola Přívratská has been among the projects that deserved confidence and financial assistance.

Congratulations to Mgr. Nikola Přívratská for choosing an interesting topic that sparked the concern of Grant Agency.

Our latest publication in a scientific journal Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine with the best impact factor so far this year is now online available. The first author is Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Lenka Kujovská Krčmová, Ph.D. and the publication is titled: Evaluation of inflammatory biomarkers and vitamins in hospitalized patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection and post-COVID syndrome.

Our research group was briefly introduced in the journal of the medical faculty SCAN, where in the issue 4/2023 a look into the past is published, i.e. what preceded the creation of Chromed, what we are currently dealing with, i.e. the present, and also the vision we would like to realize. Our diligent efforts have once more resulted in a publication, now in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics, where PharmDr. Kristýna Mrštná contributes as a co-author to an article titled "Comparison of the liquisolid technique and co-milling for loading of a poorly soluble drug in inorganic porous excipients." This insightful piece investigates innovative methods for incorporating a poorly soluble drug into inorganic porous excipients. Once again, our hard work has been rewarded by publication in Journal of Chromatography A, where PharmDr. Kristýna Mrštná is the first author of article entitled Analysis of vitamin K1 and major K2 variants in rat/human serum and lipoprotein fractions by a rapid, simple, and sensitive UHPLC-MS/MS method.  The publication is already in press and available online in this link: here

Today was a great day for Mgr. Dorota Turoňová, who was officially awarded by the title Ph.D. in the academic field. She achieved it under the supervising of  Assoc. Prof. Lenka Kujovská Krčmová, Ph.D. 

There is visible pleasure and satisfaction on both.

This year is quite remarkable for our team, because there is other great report, when Mgr. Dorota Turoňová, Ph.D. placed on the second position in the poster presentation out of 165 posters exposed in Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD 2023) in Turkey in Istanbul. She focused on Covid-19 in the poster presentation, in similar way like her two colleagues.

We are visible on the international scene as well, because Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Lenka Kujovská Krčmová, Ph.D. was priced by the committee of IMA 2023 for the BEST POSTER PRESENTATION on the 13th International Conference on Instrumental Methods of Analysis: Modern Trends and Applications in Greece, where she presented a poster with theme "Microsampling and modern sample preparation technigues in bioanalysis for clinical research". You can see her poster in the section POSTERS of course.

Mgr. Dorota Turoňová, under the leading of Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Lenka Kujovská Krčmová, PhD., faced twelve member commission during the defense of her doctoral thesis and after hard research work and studying has successfully achieved Ph.D.

By the way we are proud of one more success, which is passing of the state doctoral exam by our another member PharmDr. Kristýna Mrštná.

We are sharing with you a fantastic success, which is THE FIRST PLACE of our colleague MSc. Chaweewan SUWANVECHO on the 51st International Symposium of High Performance Liquid Phase Separation and Related Techniques in Düsseldorf. She was announced as a GOLD WINNER and awarded in scientific competition for the best video, where scientists show the impact of their research on our society. We are proud of her!
